Child Protection
The Board of Management St. Vincent’s Secondary School adopts in full Child Protection Guidelines for Post Primary Schools as school policy. The Guidelines provide management authorities and school staff with direction in relation to recognising the signs and symptoms of child abuse/neglect and with procedures for dealing with such concerns.
The Child Protection Guidelines for Post Primary Schools should be read in conjunction with Our Duty to Care (Department of Health & Children) and Children First – National Guidelines for the Protection and Welfare of Children (Department of Health & Children, 1999
Designated Liaison Person (DLP)
The Board appointed Mr. Donnchadh Ó Briain as the Designated Liaison Person. In the first instance concerns regarding child protection should be reported directly to the DLP.
Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP)
The Board appointed Ms. Katherine Bulman as the Deputy Designated Liaison Person.
